Imagine the simplicity of entering an address, landmark, vehicle label or latitude and longitude coordinates and getting a printable map plus turn by turn directions.
Dispatching becomes much easier when you can see your assets on the screen and go to the Driving Directions option and dispatching a vehicle to a specific location, address or another vehicle.
There is more to this function. Using the Find Closest Vehicle function, you can insert and address, landmark, vehicle or coordinates and get an immediate list of your 10 closest vehicles to that destination. Then you have the option of which vehicle to send based on solid reasoning such as fastest driving time, skill set of the driver and equipment on the vehicle. Rather than guessing, you have the power of efficiency in your hands and your dispatch department can make the right call.
This function has received great reviews from government, utility and private sector fleet and dispatch managers. One tow truck company owner said, “I don’t know how I ever dispatched without it.” An electrical utility uses the function to dispatch the best vehicles and people when outages occur or if there is some other emergency situation on the power grid. Law Enforcement Supervisors can see their assets and respond quicker. One Deputy Police Chief said, “If we had had this system, we might have been able to close in on this suspect much quicker.”
Ask your USA Fleet Solutions representative to demonstrate the dispatching function. Or, go to the log in function on the home page of this web site with the user name checkitout and the password test. Under the Map tab at the top left you’ll find both Driving Directions and Find Closest Vehicle.
